Grant Watts Elementary Social Science Resources

Dewey Decimal 300s Social Science Resources for our K-3 Gray Wolves Community

What is Public Administration and Social Services? the Dewey 350-369s

The Public Administration and Social Services area of our library supports our connection to the Civics and Government Social Studies Standards.  In this section of the library we learn about the sections of government and the workers in that area that support our daily lives, including the military.  We also learn about differences in people and how the government can help support the unique needs of different social groups.

This section will help us answer these Essential Questions:

Kindergarten - What makes a place special?

1st Grade - What is a neighborhood?

2nd Grade - How do different places affect us?

3rd Grade - What makes a hero?
